Well I updated the color scheme and spec map with the final mask from 3ds max so I'm ready to scale it up again. So not that much left to do I guess.

I thought it'd be nice to have two color schemes at release so I've been working on a new one. I'm not sure it's completely finished yet but it's close. So now maybe it's time to scale it up again. I need some help with the size. If you want to help set the visual size of the Flying Boat to 120% which will make it have a 240 inch wingspan and then compare the Flying Boat to the Realflight Clipper which has a 250 inch wingspan and let me know what you think. That's what I'm doing right now I have the Flying Boat set to 120% in the physics so I can see what it looks like with a 240 inch wingspan. It's large for sure but not quite as large as the Realflight Clipper with a 250 inch wingspan. I always like to get other opinions as I go. Here's a picture of the new color scheme.

That is a Great color scheme, color on the top section of the fuselage gives the model a completely different outline. Nice idea Technoid.

I don't know in the beginning I was going to use the CS off the first link below and make it blue. But then it seemed wrong to change the color of such a cool CS so I decided to go with red like the original. But I wanted a blue CS for it too so I looked around for some inspiration and found a plane you wouldn't think is the inspiration for the blue CS I did, but it was.. I just changed it a lot.

Anyway here's the red CS I used to create my first red CS.

And here's the blue CS I used for the last CS I created, but you can see what I mean it doesn't look like what I came up with but there are some things about it I used as inspiration.

Well it seems like everyone thinks 240 is a good size for it so I'll scale it up to 240 inches. Thanks guys for all the input.

This morning I renamed the finished version of the Flying Boat to Realflight Clipper and scaled it up to 240 inches. Then I reworked the Realflight Clipper physics to fit the new size and now I'm ready to rework the weights so to get the CG right again. So I'm getting there.

Yep that's definitely a large RC plane but they do build them here's a link to a 20 ft. wingspan B-25.

I worked some on the Clipper tonight. I reworked the CG and Pilot Seat view for the new size so it's flying good again. So a bit closer to release.

Okay here's a new beta for you to play with. Right now it looks like release is next weekend but I wanted to play with it and see if I missed anything.

There's been quite a few changes so here's a list of the ones I can remember right now.

1. Wingspan is now 240 inches (down from 250 inches).
2. Adjusted weight to increase wing loading just a bit.
3. New Color Scheme.
4. Increased elevator travel.
5. Disabled elevator-flap mixing to fix down pitch when using flaps.
6. Added differential engine control that's disabled at 1/8 throttle.
7. Added reverse thruster to back-up that's disabled at 1/8 throttle. (Thruster On: 3-pos switch away from you)
8. Reworked cockpit to remove bulge on left side.

So if you're interested give it a try and report any problems you find. I haven't tried it in RF-X yet but it should be okay.
