I thought I'd mention I'll be releasing the SE5a again this Friday. Sorry about taking it down but the more I flew it the more it seemed way to underpowered. I was trying to make it fly more like the real plane but in this case I think it's better for it to fly more like an RC plane than a Scale plane. I increased the power nicely I think, not too much but enough to make it more fun to fly. I also reworked the physics a 'tiny' bit there was a couple of areas that needed some tweaking. I sent betas to Doug and BrokeDad to make sure the changes I made worked well for them too.

The same thing happened to me. When I installed RF9 no bump map showed up and it took me a while to remember to turn them on.

I just uploaded the second release of the RAF SE5a. I'm sorry for two releases but the changes to the engine power and physics definitely make it a better plane. I want to thank Doug and BrokeDad for their help testing a beta for me.

I got ahold of some intel for anyone looking to make scale AV's.

SE5 2-bladed Tractor For 150 HP Hispano Suiza Engine

Drawing No. T28066 Issue 5, Dated ?? Jan 1917

47" radius (7' 10' diameter + or - 0.20")

Included on the drawing is the comment "This airscrew is identical with T28086 except for boss."

SE5 2-bladed Tractor For 200 HP Hispano Suiza Engine (Gear Ratio 3/4)

Drawing No. T28063 Issue 1, Dated ?? Jan 1917

52.5" radius (8' 9" diameter + or - 0.20")

SE5 4-Bladed Tractor For 200 HP Hispano Suiza Engine (Gear Ratio 35:59)

Drawing No. T28097 Issue 2, Dated 8 Jun 1917

46.5 " radius (7' 9" diameter + or - 0.20")

What you see above is Propeller dia's for the 3 main setups of the SE5A. they depend on engine, and reduction gear.
