I never understood why the majority of helis in a 2016 released project would still be flybar ones or any at all. Not that I don't fly a couple still but come on. I sold my copy of RF-X a long while ago. It was a great concept but I don't think it can be fixed well using a gaming engine. The difference from 7.5 to X wasn't worth investing thousands in a new super computer.

He is banging the same old drum. RF-X is flying just fine on my desktop and my laptop. Did not invest a penny. I do need new computers though. I had to put memory in the lappy to get the new version of X-Plane11 to open.

I like RF-X the more that I fly it. The new controller fits better than the Interlink in my hands. I like the new channels. I look forward to the next update. I fly helicopters extensively on both RF-x and RF7.5. All I can say is that it is different, but instead of complaining. I adapt and it makes my flying better. An hour on the sim and then flying the real thing is like a whole slow motion movement. I am ahead of the real flying copter all the time.

I just came in from flying a Trex550 this morning. My 800 is still in the hangar for upgrades.

That's called accepting mediocrity.

I find that I am accepting a higher level of excellence. I am smoother on the real sticks from flying the aircraft in X.

Just because you cannot adapt don't call it the program's fault. Modify the aircraft if you cannot handle the heat. Stand behind me, because I am moving forward.

Quick intro:l bought RF-X sight unseen because latest should be the best right? I bought it primarily to re-learn CP helis after being out of the hobby for 8 years or so. I was a little disappointed at how clunky it was for the price I paid but it looks great and feels pretty good too.

Well I just tried it again on public beta 1.5 and I really dig it now. I'll post some videos as I get a little better. I fly the Gaui X7 almost exclusively. That model is sublime

RF8 is much better for heli’s imho. You do not need videos to see this, just try it out to see for yourself.

I believe you, I'm just invested in it at this point so I'll stick with RF-X. I'll check out 8 for sure, can't hurt to have both

Here is a video of a Mikado Hughes 500 from the RF7 swap pages, this helicopter imports easily into RF-X and fly's quite well, would fly even better with N8LBV on the sticks, but this is the best I can do while having fun.
