Starting to get some of the colors in.

In honor of those killed and their families, this CS will have a patriotic theme.
Am using each plane lately to add available features in RF that I have not used before. Among the things new with the QFD are wing tip strobe lights- not visible though in a screen capture due to their short on time.

Just a thought. But why not add droppable bomb(s) or a drop tank between the landing gears or on the wings. Or if you prefer bullets to free fall weapons, maybe add some machine gun barrel tips to the wing. If you want to and have enough extra polygons. It looks like your taking a patriotic theme so why not and I am sure people would love to have any of the above.

Thanks guys.

legoman:
Am basically maxed out (no pun!) on polygons, so it's on with the CS details and any remaining physics tuning.

Realism note:
Every E flyer has their motor preference, and for me those are AXI. While the QFD has been flying for awhile, the current drain was very high (remember RF does NOT display the total current, but only one motor in a multi). So, I looked up the specs on the AXI selected and found RF was turning them faster than their rating (max RPM would be a good parameter to add). It also turns out AXI is not in the EDF market so they-- regretfully-- do not make such a motor.
Have heard good things (and thing$) about Neu Motors. Their website lists several EDF/motor combinations. While there is no option to edit the DF parameters, I went with the diameter on the QFD, and found a motor that works rather well. Current drain is down, and for those who are interested, top speed bumped up from about 150 to 200+.
In the real world most of us could probably not afford to buy 4 of those motors, but they seem to be very efficient and built very tough, so like many real world things, we get what we pay for.

Oops I didn't notice how "round" the pilots and EDF inlets were. And I was estimating the numbers of polys that I try and stick to for running the length of wings and fuses. looks good man

I have a custom wound neu motor in my 600. It's a beast. I can't recall the kv off hand without looking at the paperwork for it as there is no label on the motor but it's too much for a align 600 pro. It has a 2900-3000 RPM headspeed though which is at the limit of what this Heli is capable of. Neu motors are built to order which is pricy but you get what you pay for.

Progress continues.
Most of the colors/graphics are in, and some of the spec map work has started.
