Taranis X9D plus stopped being recognized

I bought RealFlight 9 using steam, on my MacBook Pro using Bootcamp for Windows. However after using the sim for about two days with my Taranis, it stopped recognizing my taranis. I was using it, then I put the remote down for a few minutes and then when I picked up the remote again, it wasn’t connected to the sim. Other remotes are recognized by the sim though.
The computer recognizes it, but not RealFlight. I tried different ports, set ppm, re downloaded rf, reset rf, restored my taranis, nothing works. But the taranis does still work with Aerofly rc7 on macOS.
When I open RealFlight with the taranis plugged in it tells me “please connect a RealFlight controller device or windows joystick.”
I tried using it as a slave, ppm, both on and off, still no luck. Do I need drivers for it maybe?
Does anyone know what the issue can be?

See this thread from RCGroups - Win 10 seems to be replacing the driver, causing the Taranis to not be recognized.
