I have a thrust reversal version that I appplied to Nizz's original version. If I get some time, I will apply it to this one and post up the AV.

This is a great plane and I appreciate the hard work that you guys put into it.

Cheers,

Fangar

747 Reverse Thrusters

Hey guys,

I had a free minute (For once) so I added some reverse thrusters to the main wing of the 747. The reversible pods on the wings are controlled by activating the Dual rates switch. Then the down elevator stick increases the reverse thrust throttle.

So when landing, once on the runway (Like I ever hit it) drop the main throttle, flip the dual rates switch and then feather in the brakes and reverse thrust by pushing the right stick forward.

Anyway, have fun!

Cheers,

Fangar

Wink showstopper (er, flight stopper?)

Nicely done, Fangar ... adds another dimension of pseudo-realism to the simulation environment. Love it! Thank you.

You're welcome. The credit for this sweet plabe goes to the author(s) though.

I reduced the thrust on each of the reversed thrusters to 20 lbs. A little more realistic. Could probably be less. Here is a recording of the landing on the sod field.

Cheers,

Fangar

The file I uploaded is the AV (Aircraft Variant). You need to skip to the original page in this thread and dowloand the EA (Entire Aircraft). Then if you would like the variant with the reverse thrusters, add the AV.

Cheers,

Fangar

Duh...

I didn't realize that the one Seraphim posted must have been and AV too. Here is the link to the orignal EA that Nizz created:

http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/show...1&page=1&pp=15

Download the 747, then Seraphim's, then my AV. Sorry for the confusion.

Cheers,

Fangar
