Nuke bug when hitting the water? O.o

Experienced something strange..

Whaaaat? Mind the still working animations until I try switching the view..

Any idea what this comes from? I don't want to release a heli that crashes the sim...

That's not poor flying skills, that's something different. Does that happen with only this model or with others on your computer? I have never seen that happen to me with a 1000+ models I have installed over the years.

I am currently setting up the model so I need to push it beyond the limits Don't worry, I know very well how to fly a helicopter
It happens about 1 out of 10 times. I believe that the BK is the only heli I can reproduce it with. It also just seems to happen when the mainblades hit the surface in a steep right bank turn, but I'm not too sure. The heli's got a CCW rotating 4-blade-rotor with custom blades, everything has proper collision meshes and is named correctly... Meh.

That's really bizarre. But it may be related to the same sort of thing when a fixed wing crashes in the water and breaks apart, and then all the pieces start flipping and dancing around and shooting into the air and all sorts of craziness..

Definitely not a graphics card issue I don't think.

It looks like the Sim is halted at that point and then the bloom shader causes the white parts of the image to expand. The graphical effect isn't related to the bug if that is true.

Try disabling bloom and see if the situation changes.

I'm guessing the heli is somehow triggering a physics bug.

So I tested it without bloom, it still kills the entire program and busts my eardrums.. I managed to record the sound this time. Pretty weird, but I have an idea what could cause this....
CAUTION: Don't watch this with headphones and turn your volume down! :P

It's neither related to the rotorhead nor to the rotorblades... Quickly put a 2bladed head on it, does the same thing, even though it's very very rare now...

I agree with Jim: it looks like something about your model is breaking the physics. Everything that happens after the crash might be very interesting and amusing to watch, but it is just a symptom of that initial problem.

If you don't mind posting your model here, we would like to file a case and take a look to see what's happening.
