What causes RF 7.5 to NOT run on XP?

Just curious why it won't run on XP?
What is an actual limitation as it uses DX9 and all..
Is there something new that it depends on?
Or is it come kind of intentional block in the software causing it to not run on XP
when it might otherwise run on it just fine as previous version of RF do?

Thanks!
Steve

Windows XP reached end of life in April of 2014. Consequently, we dropped support for XP while producing 7.5 for release later that year.

In fact, for security reasons we eliminated XP entirely in our office. So, while we did not intentionally break the software's ability to run on XP, we did stop using XP and testing on it.

Around that time we also updated some of our tools. We later learned that change resulted in executables that would not run on XP. However, since it was no longer supported, we did not look back.
