S/N compatibility

A good friend found a new unopened software package for Real Flight G4. The controller wasn't with it. I had several different interlink controllers from other systems. Naturally, when I entered the Interlink S/N, it stopped the program. Is there anyway to use this software without the original controller with the correct S/N? Thanks for any help!

The software is not valid for use without the original controller. It's the copy protection for the software.

Hmmm... A grey area here, assuming you have legitimate Interlinks available to you ( that you OWN them ).

By all rights if you have an Interlink Elite or even an old Interlink, you can run and install the unopened G4.

You can perform a CLEAN install from the G4 CD's.

Once done you should be prompted for the serial numbers.

Enter the serial from the Interlink you will be using and from the G4 package and you should be good to go.

You can also purchase the 7.x upgrade and install that instead, using the G7.x serials along with the Interlink Serials.

Both should work.

At worst contact Tech Support.
