Well, I know this isn't The Big Red MkII, but this is a tease to what I have in store for it if it ever does show up ...

Meanwhile ... this is my latest BIG RED CS .... a tribute to the man, himself ...

Didn't know if it should have been Technoid Aviation, or Technoid International, or Technoid Industries ... LOL

I went with aviation as both contained 8 letters ...

Still think there's a few more CS left in me for this ol' bird ...

I think she turned out a real looker ... especially with the graphics set to MAX ... But then screenshots don't post without modification ...

If you only knew where Big Red came from, now Doug knows all the different biplanes I went through getting to Big Red. Ha.. at one time Big Red had an oval mouth and I called it Oval Bipe. That's way back when I was first learning how to model and I kept making different versions of a biplane until I actually started to put something real together. At first all I wanted to do was make simple planes just to fly what I made. But after a while, like the hot dog designers that taught me said I wanted to create something substantial. Now I guess I'm moving on to real planes for a bit. I'm looking forward to the F8F but I'm not in a hurry this time. Your CS's are always cool and I look forward to them, so keep on trucking.

Ha.. you can laugh, she ain't pretty.

Yeah, but look what you created .... I really need to get back into the 3D modeling again ... but ... TIME, and brain activity is not what it use to be ...

I don't know if I really want to put all that time and effort into relearning the CAD stuff again ...

I have just as much fun painting pixels ... sometimes ....

I admit it, I am lazy, I rather go play golf, or hop on the Harley and ride a couple hundred miles ...

I took some time today and put a beta together for Big Red Mk II. I still don't know when I'll do the official release but I think the planes finished so let me know if you see anything that needs to be changed. The big thing I changed last is it had a tapered cowl but I straightened it out, the taper started bugging me.

Share your thoughts on Big Red Mk II I have my own but am curious what all of you think. Oh, it's ready for RF-X if you have it. I haven't flown the beta in RF-X yet but it should be fine I flew an earlier version in RF-X and it worked okay.

Looking at that pic., I`d say everything looks just fine, However, it be nice to see what the 9 cyl. radial looks like under the hood..just a thought.

They must be getting to me too ... I have spent most of the morning workin' on a new template for this plane ... but barely got a thing done ...

Got my mask ... started moving panel lines ... created some guide lines/ alignment lines ...

But nothing to do with any CS yet ... what a waste day ... LOL

The beauty of spending the time on a template, is once done, CS creation is quick ... er ... quicker than normal ... helps to have a good model to begin with ...

Just curious, Ddawg. Shouldn`t there be just one row of rivets with each panel line, (on the top, on the horizontal and at the front on the vertical lines)..I just don`t recall seeing double rows in very many situations, I could be wrong ...???...
