RF-X Dead???

Any chance we will ever see RF-X 1.5 public beta (1.50.004) updated to a real version update? This beta has been out for a year and no updates to RF-X since version xxxxx042 was released over a year ago. Is RF-X no longer planning to go forward. I can accept that but please just let us know what the intended path forward is for RF-X so that I can make decisions on my path forward. Maybe I missed an update?

I have private messaged the developer and I get read receipts but no response.

No there are no further updates it's a dead duck at the moment but I live in hope the developer' know there is a still lot of support to see this software completed and the hardware is there to run it as well ( I never had any issues related to hardware just the half developed software).

Hang in there and maybe message the developers' ...

The developers are still around but they just ignore our request for an update of the software or an update as to whether it will ever be finished...

What's up guys..

Just logged in after reading. It says I last visited 7-1-2012 at 7:44pm.. Crazy, time flies!

Anyhow, the intent was to dig into a RFX purchase. Looks like I'm going with RC8 which I'd likely also purchase anyhow, AeroFly 5 was awesome. I'll say I'm very disappointed Knife Edge or RealFlight support hasn't replied to this thread.. That alone has made up my mind..

Thanks,
Raz

It's dead Jim.
Contact KnifeEdge yourself and see if you reach the same conclusion I have.
At the root of all this the hobby itself is losing ground.
Lots of it.
And is now coming under insane FAA rule and getting worse.

That's so depressing what's happened to our hobby I will hang in there though!

J Bourke is missing in action .

Interesting allegation about his past behaviour here.

The complaint was from 9 years ago, from one guy who didn't like RF 4.5, and apparently got into it in some other forums with Jim. Probably the one's Jim also owns, so he got himself banned. Seems a weak to non-existent correlation with the present concerns about RFX.

I eventually googled and tracked it down.
I didn't give it much weight or significance.

What is significant is the way RFX has been handled.

It's very bad.

I think Horizon Hobby owns it now.
They have avoided my questions so far.
I will keep asking until there's an answer.
This may go a little better/faster if anyone else shows an interest.
