Yak 55m 37%

I like the Yak 55m I released recently but I modeled it on request with a 93 inch wingspan but I wanted to fly a larger Yak so I decided to go back and rework the Yak and increase it to 37%, or 115 inch wingspan. I also made a few other changes to make it a bit different than the first one, besides the size. So here's a list of the changes I made, hopefully I don't forget any.

1. Increased size to 37%
2. Reworked the wing tips
3. Reworked the canopy
4. Reworked the main gear
5. Reworked the louvers
6. Created new tail gear
7. Added an oil cooler
8. Made the tires fatter like the real Yak
9. Created new color scheme

I'm uploading a beta for you to play with so let me know if you find anything wrong. I just finished the color scheme last night but haven't went back and tweaked all the little things to finish it out, like stripe alignment and crossover stripes between surfaces, but I'll take care of that before I release it. I haven't tried it in RF-X yet but it should be fine but let me know if you find any issues. I did increase the strength of the springy gear so that might cause an issue in RF-X.

Thanks guys I'm glad you like it. It seems to fly better than the first one. For some reason I'm starting to think that 100 to 108 is the ideal wingspan for me in RealFlight. This one is a bit larger at 115 and I can tell it's a bit larger but I seen the Krill Yak 55m 37% and wanted to make something like it, not a copy but like it. I patterned the CS after a Pilot RC Yak 54 I found on the web. I'm not sure if it's done or I want to do something else to it, but it seems pretty much done.

Sometimes I like to fly using the cockpit view in 3d fields so I decided to add a full cockpit to the Yak. Here's where I'm at right now. I also created the raised panel inside the full panel like the yak has to give it more depth in the plane. I could have done it in the CS but actually raising it in the 3d model should make it look better. I need to change the color of the cockpit to gray but right now it's black because that's what the simple one was before. But I'll change the color when I map the parts and paint it.

Rats ... I need to redo/adjust my template/panels ... oh well ... you know what I need from you ... LOL

I tried to fit "I.B. Yakinov's" airshows skin, to the new yak ... but failed horrible ... and not feelin' creative lately

I am starting to feel like you don't like my CS (could have duo meanings) ...
