I thought it was time to share a decent render of Junker.

I didn't think the very end of the turtle deck was quite tall enough so I went back last night and raised it .4 inches. I still need to adjust the vertical stabilizer rib cage to match the new height but I've been getting Stagger ready to release tomorrow so I haven't been able to finish it yet. Anyway here's a new render with the new height. It's better than before but I'm still not sure if it's where I want it yet.

I just released all three versions of Stagger so it's finally out of my hair.

Actually I'm sorry I didn't continue with what I intended for Junker it was a real JUNK plane. In fact I might do it too since I can reuse most of what I've created on it, just create the original fuselage I had in mind and the rest would work out pretty well. Oh it would have different landing gear, with a secret twist. BUT.. Onward and Upward with what I'm already doing for now.

I started working on the cockpit last night and finished the main part of it today. I still need to add some side panels which will hide where the wings stick into it a tiny bit. I could move the wings out a bit and hide them too but once the side panels are added you won't see them anyway. Here's a couple of pictures for you.

Why not just extend them in a little and make consoles out of them ?? just a thought.

I suppose you could do that but I want the side panels to be part of the fuselage and the wings are different objects. I normally cut the walls of the cockpit and extrude the polys to create the side panels that way the side panels and cockpit are an extension of the fuselage.

I finished the cockpit and added a couple of control panels. Just a simple cockpit so I have a decent view when I fly a 3d field using the pilot seat camera.
