Thanks Nemo.
And yea, I'll probably end up doing a Blue Angels scheme, along with a standard and a custom one if I get time.

Another update...

The model's pretty much done. Got all the parts needed and its 10,477 polygons now. I had to manually fix the 1x meshsmoothed fuselage to get it down that far though.
I'll probably end up fixing it up a bit more, but for now it's good and will show pretty much how the final is gonna look.

Update

Here's another update. And likely the final one, unless I paint more of them (and I probably will). lol

Anyway, the template's done, and the first one has been painted.

Check it out (1600x1200 multi-angle wallpaper)

I've also attached a few renders with a neat effect to 'em.

I'm really looking forward to flying this thing, and hopefully I'm not alone.

Oh, and it seems I have 1,353 polygons to spare, so the imported version might have a pilot too.

Okay, I went to your website and registered so I could "look" at the graphic. Am I to understand that if anyone wants to use your repaints/models they will be required to purchase them?

Well I see you signed up at the site, so you probably noticed, my repaints (for Nascar anyway since I haven't done any G3 paints) are free, and a good amount of the models I created are free. It's just the highpoly stuff that will never see a game engine which aren't free.

The models I have for sale on the site are to be used/rendered/etc in 3DSMax only. They also include .3DS files so the user can use a program such as Deep Exploration so they can view the model while painting (not having to use 3DSMax or the video game). Very handy for lining up designs.
But imported game models will be given away since (as far as I know) there's no way to export them from the game and use in 3DSMax.

Plus I will likely be including a PSD template with the imported planes. The template includes a mask and wireframe layer, and the shading and dirt layers are seperate, so you can paint underneath and not effect the panel lines/shading/etc (wish KE would do that ).

But you didn't have to register on the site to see that desktop wallpaper image, did you? If so, I'll have to change something.

Oh lol, sorry about that. The imported F-18 will be free. But the 3D model of it (for rendering/etc) will be for sale sometime soon.

You shouldn't have to register to see that wallpaper image I linked to a couple posts ago. Just the downloadable stuff I have on there. Helps keep track of things and save bandwidth.

Oh, and here's another paintjob. lol
I attached a single view, but here's another big one. I think that'll do for a while.
