Another collision bug / aiport import bug???

After all that pee-discussion regarding Alpine Meadows, I tried to fly around a little on my old Alpine Meadows edit called "Barnstorming":

http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/down...do=file&id=503

To my surprise, while the G4 version of Alpine Meadow works great, my airport variant based on the original G3.5 airport shows some weird behavior:

Firstly, although there is no wind, the windsock is not animated and show a nice 90 angle with no wind at all - just like the flag on the moon.

Secondly the grass patches create the craziest collision issues.

I wonder: does this happen because my edit was based on the G3.5 version of this airport or was something fixed maybe to work around a problem in the original airport?

I've noted this with various older airports I've taken over into G4.

It seems to be due to the object naming used in the prior version.

If I notice that the windsock is not animated, I've just replaced it with the one in G4 and the airport works again.

What I'd suggest doing with airports based upon existing ones ... is EXPORTING ( saving ) the folder hiearchy of the old airport in the editor...

Then going to G4, loading up the same background/terrain and starting a NEW airport.

Then import ( load ) the object hiearchy ( folder ).

Search for any animated objects and replace them with the newer version.
