Nemo if anyone is looking for a Raptor 50 V2. I have got a setup. Would there be a problem posting it? Heli decription is the same as the original, but 30 is edited to 50.

Raptor 30 Accuracy

Hi. First of all, thanks for the great model. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how close to the real Raptor 30 this model flies? I am getting ready to buy my first nitro (after many many sim hours with G3) and am considering a 30 or 50 Raptor. I did notice that this one is much more sluggish than the 50s represented in G3. Is that a pretty fair assessment?

It's "fair".

A 50 is usually very close in size to a 30, but has much more power, better heads, etc.

So the difference you see, mirrors the real world.

First Heli

I too am about to purchase my first heli. Would you guys recommend I start with a Raptor 30 or 50? I have been practicing with both in the sim for 6 weeks.

I would recommend that you start with a 50. It has a better power to weight ratio, therefore it will peform a lot better than the 30 for a little more money.

First Heli

Thanks for the input. I was thinking about the Spectrum radio but some people are saying its for park fliers only. Would this be bad choice for the Raptor 50 and my T-Rex?

AFAIK the Spectrum does not support regular sized servos.

It's made for Park Fliers... or Micro Helis.

This may change as there are rumors of a full size version.

Yes it would be a bad choice

Get the 50 with the Hyper motor and you would really be better off with a Futaba 9C or if using JR I'm not sure. I am familiar with the Futaba. I do have a JR XS3 for my touring car.
