IE automatically adds onto the g3x files the .zip extension. You have to rename them back ti .g3x before you import them after downloading. This took me a while to figure out as well. It apears that the .g3x files are just zip files

Is there any way to get the 4D version to reverse pitch without hitting the switch? Like a heli where above mid throttle stick is (+) and below mid stick is (-) pitch?

Yes, you can setup a mix from throttle stick position to variable pitch prop. There are many examples on the web. I posted this 4d E3D one almost a year ago. Notice that this is not a G3X file. It is just a zip file with a plng3 inside. You need to copy the file to your planes directory.

actually i think IE is doing it because of WinZip, when saving, select 'all files' instead of 'winzip' for the "save as type" and everything will be fine and saved with the g3x extension.

I'd like to know this too.

Is there something different about this model then what others are flying. When I first downloaded it it did not fly very well I though. It sure did not fly like a foamy bipe that I am used to. I looked at it in the editor and found that it only had one wing and that nothing actually lined up with the visual picture such as the tail etc. I went through and added the top wing and moved the tail around to match the picture etc. The battery was extremely large for a foamie and was way forward of were a battery should be. It was funny because when I first opened the model in G3 it flipped over forward onto its nose. I editied that to be smaller and reduced the cell count to more realistic value for a foamy.

Only reason I ask is because alot of people raved about it and I did not find it exciting till I did some editing. Did something happen to the one I DL?????

Rat: Sounds like you unzipped your G3X file and then tried to import. Just d/l the file and import it using ingame Importer.

Zelatio is right. It sounds like you did not import the file correctly. If you are not careful, Internet Explorer will automatically change the file extension to .zip behind your back. You don't want that to happen. Instructions for avoiding this problem are here.

is it really that easy to hover nose down? i can do it forever with just some rudder and elevator corrections. if anybody has flown the real thing with a VP prop, id like to know.

otherwise, this is currently one of my favorite planes! great job

Where is this Importer? Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to install this in G3? I really like the VPP.

when in G3 click on Simulation at the top right hand corner. Then click import then click on g3x. Then find the file that you downloaded. If every thing worked right it will be under custom aircrafts.

Hope this helps

I modded the 4D plane so that the prop pitch is on the throttle. The 2 position switch still needs to be on but you don't have to keep flipping it just turn it on and leave it there. I find it easier to fly the other way but here you are any way.

Great job Gizmo!

Has anyone been able to compare the origional RCU Bipe for G3 to the real one yet? I will probably fly mine tomorrow, but if this wind calms down, I might tonight.
