MX 400 Pro - Better handling Heli

Tired of the anemic MX 400 Heli in the Expansion pack?

Try out this MX 400 Pro. Faster, more 3D capable, able to leap tall buildings with a single bound!

Colorscheme included below.

Grab both files, be sure that the downloaded file suffix ends in .G3x.

Note to computer newbies:

Windows loves to hide the file suffixes from you, to keep you from doing dumb things.

To make it stop doing this open up "My Computer" and click on

Tools/Folder Options/View

and turn OFF the check mark in front of "Hide Extensions for known file types".

Have fun!

To ensure that you get the g3x file downloaded correctly...
  1. Click the link for the g3x file.
  2. Internet Explorer will ask if you want to Save, Open or Cancel. Click Save.
  3. Internet Explorer will display the Save As dialog.
  4. Near the bottom of the Save As dialog is the Save As Type combo box. The default value of this field will be Compressed Folder.
  5. Change the Save As Type combo box to All Files, or put quotation marks around the file name in the File Name edit box
  6. Click save.

By following the above steps you are effectively telling windows that you know what the type of the file actually is and you dont want it to change it automatically.

You need the G3 Expansion Pack 1 (not the G2 Add-ons pack 1).

I just got the EP1 so am finally able to try this.
Nice work, flies like my T-Rex SE.
Why is it that nobody has made a proper T-Rex model for G3 yet (not a modified dolphin)? Over on RR it's the most popular forum, more posts than even the Raptor forums.
How about a T-Rex SE canopy for the MX400, that would be good enough for me.

Hmm... That's doable, if I can get some nice decent resolution images/scans of a T-Rex Canopy.

I smacked up my SE canopy and could only find an XL canopy to replace it with. I could send you any pics you need, my camera is only 4 megapixels though.

PM me.

4 megapixels is far more than enough, even. 1.3m in jpeg works fine...

Ideally I would need shots as close as possible on a white background, e.g. paper or cardboard. The canopy should be detached from the heli.

Flat side shot of canopy facing left
Flat side shot of canopy facing right
Shot of canopy from above.
Shot of canopy from the front.
Shot of canopy from below.

And if you can do so...

Remove horizontal and verticle stabilizers from heli and place on a white background, then shoot both sides of each, as close as possible.

Thanks opjose, I'll take some pics but it probably won't be until later in the week. When I have the pictures I'll send you a PM.

edit: Also, I have some local hobby shop decals on my canopy, will you be able to photoshop them out so nobody complains about free advertising or should i just remove them?

Just remembered I've got a new align fiberglass canopy on the way and it should be there this week. I'll sticker it up as stock and take pics of that as it'll be brand spanking new.
One more question, I'll be cutting all the cooling holes open, should I take the pics before I do that?
