Post NO question discussion threads here!

Post NO question threads here!

If these turn into discussion threads, posted models, helis, colorschemes, etc. will be difficult for people to find.

Use the other forums for discussions.

Each thread should start off with a posted file.

Moderators; how about a sticky on this?

I really don't understand why new aircrafts, Colourschems, and Trimschems are posted here. If a user is new to the simulator, he must search the hole forum through. Why are these files are not collected by an uploader, who publish them on the official G3 SwapPages ?

This is something completely new.

The files on the G3 page had to be reviewed and posted by Knifeedge/G3 employees. I sent some uploads to the official swap pages months ago, they have yet to be reviewed.

Nemo's excellent upload would not be in our hands by now...

The files which are posted here DO NOT have to be reviewed. Anyone can post.

If people start filling the threads dedicated to AIRCRAFT/COLORSCHEME/AIRPORT uploads with questions, then we'll have a set of "Swap pages" filled with nothing but discussions.

This makes it almost impossible for a newbie to know about the downloads let alone find them.

There should be one thread for new upload started by the uploader.

People could respond with comments on the uploaded model, which would keep the intent of this whole "uploads" forum.

So, ask your questions on the main G3 threads.

Moderators PLEASE make this a "policy" and consider deleting non upload threads that have been placed here... this one included!!!

Your own post violates the rules. Who quit and made you the boss? Let the moderators moderate.

I was under the impression that KE had nothing to do with the RealFlight G3 swap pages. The website has a Hobbico copyright notice in the bottom lower corner.

I believe KE and RealFlight (Hobbico) are two separate entities.

Opjose, I have to agree with the above post. As "politically incorrect" as these personal posts are, perhaps you should ask KE to become a moderator, as you wish?

Apparently you are very stupid person. Opjose is just trying to keep this forum clean. This is a very good post with an appropriate heading. I hope that the Moderators will make this a sticky.

Yup, I sure wish they would deal with this.

Then these people would quit reacting like teenagers.

I don't wish to be a mod though, I've done it many times on other boards and it eats up way too much time. It's a pain trying to keep the "kids" from squabbling.

For a while we started to get discussion threads here, and all the newbies started wondering where all the files were.

Many of those threads were deleted, as requested, but there is no STICKY here stating policy, although the policy was posted on one other thread.

I doubt the forum software permits starting each thread as a post thread w/o a lot of attention from KE's mods which is why they keep away from here.

So yes, this violates it too, and it should be deleted... along with the other discussion threads.

Nice talk...

A sticky at the top from KE would be helpful. Moderation would not require much effort - simply delete any thread that doesn't start with a file.

Yup.

They've done the latter from time to time but this is intermittent.

Stickies would also help answer a lot of reoccuring questions and address a lot of re-occuring (but not usually G3 caused) problems.

But then again, on the support forum there is a BIG sticky on how to request help, which of course only about 15%-20% of the posters read first.

The way this is setup will create problems with newer users, that do not understand the policy, but the subject needs to be dropped. All someone was asking for was a Funtana 90. Is this plane a problem? If so please let me know.

Plane, nope, not a plane problem.

This shouldn't even warrant a thread.

Dropping... crash.

Oh wait, who made YOU moderator?

Heh... couldn't resist.

Now as before

MODERATORS, PLEASE kill these threads and post policy as a sticky!

Actually, I'm beginning to wonder where vitek and mods have gone. They have disapeared. Haven't seen any of them in a while. I hope they do delete this and post a sticky,

At least on the other threads, if you use their names, they seem to show up, as if they are doing searches.

Here we don't see them.

Maybe if we scream loud enough?!?
