Talking Awesome

Great stuff Inky.... I was waiting for one of these. Only problem is, and it might reflect what Flyguy was saying, is the wing pattern being the wrong way up. The white arrow should be on the bottom. Not a big deal, it flys great, and loving the goshawk model. Hope to see you at a show fairly soon. Sandown coming up. Let me know if you're going

What would it take to modify the G3 model to be the Ultrafly electric BAE HAWK?

Thanks for the help.

BTW I have been flying in the sim and it is awsome. Thanks

To convert it to an electric model is simply a case of editing the flight model in G3 to have electric power and then get some specs for the ultrafly hawk and change the flight model to suit.

Hi, here is a small variant of the Hawk. I changed the elevator movement so it moves like the real one. I don't know why the elevator on the model doesn't move though.

I palyed a bit with the dynamics and put a smaller turbine on it. It knows flys closelly to the real RC Jet.

I also moved the brakes to the down elevator stick, which is more used...

Anyway just a few mods, the models is awesome...

nope ...

1. Make sure you have the latest version (.430)
2. Download the .g3x file (make sure windows does not "helpfully" rename it to a .zip!)
3. Run g3
4. Go to file --> import --> .g3x and open the file you downloaded.
5. The new aircraft should appear in the custom section of the aircraft browser.

one more thing ....

something_EA.G3X means the file is an entire aircraft
something_AV.G3X means the file is an aircraft variant (i.e. you will need the original aircraft)
something_CS.G3X means the file is an aircraft paint scheme (i.e. you will need the original aircraft)

Hi Nemo.

Thank you very much for your quick reply. Very much appreciated.

By the way, since we can get photo fields, aircrafts for free, is it worth to get the addons? what's good about them?

Thanks again.

:-)

Cougar.

Id recommend getting the expansion pack 1 . Nice collection of models and scenery.

I guess it comes down to if you after something specific. You could wait to see if someone does a free version of it or if its available in one of add-ons / expansion packs you can get it straight away.

WingsWest:

I've always loved that low sun on the horizon photofield. Its yellow cast gives it a "real" late afternoon flavor.

The differing sun and shadow positions always amaze me. You may almost hear the night insects calling for mates!

Hi TDK-MATT,

Have you downloaded the Hawk(Red Arrow)_EA.G3X at the beginning of this thread ?

make sure windows does not rename the file extention e.g. you download a something.G3X windows helpfully renames it to something.zip ! if that happens just rename it something.g3x and import the into G3 ... file --> import --> .g3x

something_EA.G3X means the file is an entire aircraft
something_AV.G3X means the file is an aircraft variant (i.e. you will need the original aircraft)
something_CS.G3X means the file is an aircraft paint scheme (i.e. you will need the original aircraft)

if my rambalings don't make any sense try here

regards,

Tony
