Frames per Second(FPS)

Have had G3 for about 5 days now and I love it. However, I'm not really sure on what the ideal Frame per Second should be. Currently, I am getting around 80+. Is that number ideal for the sim to model real life flight????

Any comments or answers will be helpful!

People can usually perceive frame rates lower than 40 or so.

Anything faster is just gravy.

Remember that FPS is not the whole ball game. The computer has to spend a lot of time calculating physics, world states, model states, etc.

If time is purely devoted to FPS then accurate physics suffers.

What is best is a blend where the CPU has enough time to calculate everything, while still being able to update the screen.

Like opjose says, there are alot of factors to consider other than just fps. But consider that TV technology uses 30 fps and at the movie theater it's 24 fps. Both look fluid to me. I would say that's a good starting point
