Thumbs up F-14 Tomcat with retractable wings

Here it is,the long awaited and anticipated F-14 Tomcat with retractable wings.
It has flaps on the rotary knob,Retracts on the top right switch,Dual rates on the Front left switch and retractable wings on the top left 3 pos switch.

Hope you all enjoy it as much as i do.Knifeedge have increased the upload file size limits so it is now available below

If you have trouble downloading PM me with your email addy and i will email it to you
UPDATE Now available from www.rfmodels.com with thanks to nemo uk

Filecloud? I've never heard of it. Unfortunately, I'm on dialup out here in the stix. Wish you could upload the file to KE. I'm currently 235th in line with a 10 minute wait. I bet I get bumped off due to lack of activity b4 it's my turn to download. Can't wait 2 c your model, though.

After failing to notice the <download now> after my 10 minute wait, I clicked on the file name again, and had to wait another 10 minutes. I finally got it. I'm getting ready to try it out now. Looks really cool!!!! Thanks!

Oh yeah! That's the ticket!

May have to watch Kelly McGillis tonight!

Nobody watches that movie for Tom Cruise, right?

Nice plane! Easier to fly than a trainer!

We do not watch it for Tom Cruise or Kelly McGillis. We watch it for the F-14's!!
Tom, Kelly and the other actors nearly ruined a perfectly good aviation movie.

Fan-Friggin-Tastic!

The first time I've seen the "edge of the world" in G3... Hmmm... 64k altitude...

Too bad that there's that 440mph speed limit.

I found out today that is -IS- possible to land an F-14 w/o elevators.
I didn't know that...

Here is a slight edit that does the following.

Increases elevator strength, they broke off too easily...
Faster wing and fuselage
Adjusted engine thrust offset by 1 degree (like the real thing...)
Slightly more turbine power, low enough to avoid breaking the G3 speeding laws.

Now where are those Jap Zero's!!!!

Final Countdown.... really had me going on that scene. I was about to jump out of my chair hoping to see the F-14's take on the entire WWII Japanese fleet...

Kelly didn't do it as much as that!

100K

First screenshot @ 90K and climbing at 390 MPH.

Second screenshot at 100K and engine quit.

(This was with another model however.)

Incredible jet, congrats Inky00 it is really incredible...

I made a few mods to it also...

-Moved the CG to make it more manouverable.
-Made it much more heavy to represent more a real RC jet.
-Change turbine power also to represent the power required by a jet this size, but not overpower.
-Changed the brakes to the foward elevator stick.
-Change the rear elevators to move in the correct axis.
-3 position switch:
1- Air Brakes
2- Wings Expanded
3- Wings retracted, when retracted the jet enters elevon configuration.

The jet in general is much more challenging to fly... Hope you guys like it...

If taking off on short runways use brakes and full flaps...
