Byron B-25

Byron made a very small number of B-25's for his show Striking Back. These planes were never released as a kit and only flew in the show. The Byron B-25 had a 170" wingspan and weighed around 80 pounds. It flew better than any other rc B-25 I have seen and was beautiful in the air. You can check our Video page for more on this model.

This G3 model fly's very similar to the Byron B-25 and looks great in Realflight.

No addon needed, this model will work in standard G3 with latest updates.

Beautiful B-25 model and conversion by InkyOO, flight dynamics by Paul Grubich.

Download custom rcwarbird Byron B-25 to your desktop. There should now be a GX3 file on your desktop for the Byron B-25. Go into G3 program and select "Import" from the file list. Select the Byron b25_EA.g3x file you have on your desktop. Go into the Custom aircraft select section to find it. Make sure your Realflight controller throttle trim is all the way up or you will not have full power

Thanks, you might want to download it again because I had the test texture in the file instead of the silver version. It should now be silver.

Thanks,
Paul

Excellent

Truly a work of art. I love the reluctant take-off, and the pleasing engines sound. Most realistic (of the scale models - don't know about the real planes).
Thanks to all who worked on this one.

Oh, how sweet it is! Thank you!

I am just digging the hell out of how cool G3 has become in the past couple months, due to the efforts of so many of you guys.

great model

Its a beautiful model, thanks. Unfortunately the big, slow warbirds aren't really my type. I prefer the high speed warbirds. But thanks for the great model anyway, as long as you don't mind, I can always edit it to match my flying style.

It's a challenge to land, without breaking apart!

I posted a couple recordings in the Recordings forum. A Doolittle Raid style carrier takeoff, and a successful landing.

Good to hear you guys like this bird. I am going to do some special paint schemes for this one and should have one out today. The Silver scheme of the release model was the same scheme of one of the original Byron B-25's, the one that was lost in a midair (video on my site www.rcwarbirds.com)

Landing this plane is the most fun, do it like they did in the show, bring in in full flaps half throttle, as it gets near the runway reduce power and pull the nose up slightly, ease it in on the mains and keep the fragile nose gear up untill she slows down. Video of the real ones landing up soon.

New paint scheme "Special Delivery" is now ready.

Download and import to your G3 files. Select when flying the Byron B-25.
