Dalton Extra 260 ready for g3!

here it is, the Dalton Extra 260, modelled by rob burton,
flight model by ryan "the Kid" Archer and Jon "shortbus" Zaretsky
there is a 3d version and a imac version, the imac version doesn't 3d well, but it's possible. anyways, have fun with it!
thanks rob for making it!

Nice effort! Very maneuverable...but...there are some issues; way too tippy when on the ground, both fore and aft, and in roll axis. Exhibits extreme jitters when idling on the ground, like many helis in G3, both the 3D and IMAC versions (see enclosed recording).

An extreme 3D aerobat, but needs some taming! I like it!

yes, the jumping is because it has a lot of power and the ground handling is because of the collision mesh not done exactely right. i gfly with no expo on the rudder so there is probably the rudder jittery problem in rolls. ryan

Ahso! Thanks for the explanation! I always say there is nothing you can't "fly" around!

Thumbs up

Well done Ryan, and congratulations on all your recent successes in our hobby. I'd call you the next "Chip Hyde" or compare you to some other R/C celebrity, but I think you're creating a name for yourself that has the potential to out-do even those guys. Keep up the good work, and success will follow...

Glad you guys like the looks of it, there are a few things like the feel of the rudder we tried to get rid of, as you can see it didn't work.

Still a cool plane though!!

I wasn't particularly fond of the way this plane flew, so I did an edit. I hope ya'll like it. This is based on the IMAC version and it is fully 3D capable.
