New Video Card! Yay!!!

Not that anyone really cares, but i'm excited as poop! Ever since i've had G3, i've been running on my stock graphics card...CRAPPY picture, let me tell ya. I could never use smoke, I had to turn off ALL of the extra stuff that makes everything look good....
AND i could not even fly a helicopter because the card couldnt keep up with the blades! Well today I got a Radeon 9800. Not the best, i know, but a whole new world of difference to me! Whoever is using this card, what is your screen resolution set to on G3? i want to get the best out of it now that i can
couple of pics...

Those look pretty good. Now if you could only go and enable full AA like some of us here and still get good framerates. Then it would look good.

EDIT: CLick on thumbnail and then zoom in, notice the nice straight lines, to jaggety edges.

Yeah the Radeon 9800's and 9700's take a performance hit with 4X AA enabled.

It's worth stepping down to say 1024x768 and then enabling AA for those cards.

I used to have a 9800 and I wouldn't be surprised if full aa/af was possible w/a photofield. Not going to happen w/a 3D field however.

The GeForce 6800 does it's AA in hardware, so the screen caps don't reflect the AA effects.

You may want to try upping the resolution and elimination AA for screen captures instead.
