KE design crew please

I am looking for a real asnwer from the dsigners.

Is 3.5 going to be fixed or is it going tobe left as is??

Are the physics going to be left as is or are they going to be set back to the orginal Default that did not bring any complaints from the G3 users???

Is some thing going to be fixed so that custom user made models will not be effected by the upgrade to 3.5 (meaning that user created models for G3 will fly the same as they always have)????

I really would like to upgrade to get the new models, flying fields and other eye candy but not if it negatively effects the way my current models act and fly.

If I do not upgrade to 3.5 then will it make it impossible to use any upcoming upgrades or expansion packs that come out in the future????

Just trying to figure out if my G3 is now going to be useless in the future since I will not upgrade if the current physics problems and problems with user created models for G3 are not fixed.

I am sure these questions are on the minds of alot of users and they have asked but the questions all got buried in other threads.

Lets let the designers reply please.

Please do not tell us the stuff about professional pilots etc because myself and others feel that the profesional pilot opinions are a little off base.

It WILL be released as-is - that has been stated several times. However, that does not answer whether or not KE is planning to address the complaints that have been offered in these forums - in a future patch to 3.5.

I suspect that KE is looking closely at 3.5, and the issues talked about here, to see what may need to be done. It is probably too early for them to have formulated an exact plan of attack. My guess (based on nothing really) is that they will come up with an update, that tweaks physics settings that may have gone awry, within the next couple of months.

I guess there are two ways to proceed from here.
Halt 3.5 and re-evaluate physics code, or go ahead with the release along with ongoing evaluation/modification for future inclusion. Looks like they chose the latter.

Anyway it's a bad situation for model makers. If they update their models now to make them work in G3.5 and then the flight model is fixed/patched again, all changed models will be screwed up by the patch.
Therefore some model makers (if not all) will wait until KE officially states whether there will be a patch of the flight physics or not.
So I guess this is the most important thing that all users would expect from KE now: please tell us ASAP if there will be a patch with major impact on the flight physics or not.

Yes exactly.

Compounding the problem is that we may not see a patch for some time.

With the last revisions there were MANY months between updates.

This may seem like a daft question ... was there anything wrong with physics of 3.448? (Apart from the helicopters spinning on the ground, which they still do )

I was wondering the same thing? The flight physics where change in 3.5 to correct what bug/complaint in 3.00.448?

No mention in any Announcements of changed/improved flight physics in 3.5. I wonder what prompted the change?

Wise man once say, if it ain't broke don't fix it

In 448 I noticed some ground handling problems (planes bounced on takeoff and landing), but otherwise it was VERY good. I don't spend enough time on the ground for that to matter enough... I'm back at 448 after a full re-install. I still have a lot of work to do to get everything back to where it was.... what a waste of time.

Still waiting on an answer from one of the designers.

But yes, what were the physics complaints from the earlier non3.5 version???? As far as I know there were nothing but great things said about the prior physics. The only complaints abotut he physics came from people that were pushing others to use AFPD, Reflex or possibly FSone.

the only real complaint that I have read about the prior G3 was its hunger for a strong PC with only certain cards that were on the list of supprted cards.

But please come up with an answer of some sort.

Yeah, except for the ground handling, I liked the .448 physics.

The ground handling has been improved GREATLY with 3.5 (I did a ground loop yesterday and that caught me off guard!)....

Just do not hold your breath for changes from the sounds of it by reading other posts.
