Just a couple of questions, easy ones i hope.
I have version 3.5 now for 6 weeks. Im using it to learn to fly,(not too good yet but getting better). the problem i'm having is with my conection between my OPTIC 6 transmitter and the flight sim. I can choose thetransmitter (although it comes up as Interlink transmitter 6 chanel, not OPTIC6) and calibrate it and mapp chanels etc, but when it comes to flying there is no responce to the throtle, there is movement in the tail roter pitch when moving the stick, same for pitch and roll even pitch changes when throtle increases but frustratingly no rotation in blades. has anybody had a simmilar problem and gotten around it? The other thing i'm having trouble with is, i've changed the Real Flight controler to Mode2 so it is the same as my OPTIC6 but when i go into the training menue in Realflight to do some training it is still Mode1. is there any way i can change this to Mode2?

I don't know the answer to your question.
I would like to Make a comment about optic 6 trasmitter thats off the subject a little, but as an optic 6 owner I think you should be Warned! I had an OPTIC 6 w/ spetra. Its common for the spectra module to have electrical connection Issues. While flying, the spectra module can quit trasmitting. I lost a plane because of this. I have seen at least 4 other pilots loose planes because of this issue and after researching have found many more unhappy pilots in various online forums. I have been able to re-duplicate the problem on the ground. The trasmitter will totally stop transmitting! The way to test your optic 6 is Turn on Tranmitter and Plane. Tap the Spectra module lightly. If your plane glitches or totally stops responding when tapping module, you have bad electrical connections and your optic 6 needs repair. A lot of people are crashing because of this design fault! Do Not Trust OPTIC6 w/spectra with real Planes. |

Crashalot:
EACH PLANE must be uniquely modified to accept the inputs from the Optic. You have to create a variant of the plane you want to fly and modify it accordingly. IMHO it is simply NOT worth the effort.

Correct.
The idea is that you CAN use your own controller and assign it's inputs to the "custom" edit you are about to create, without messing up G3's defaults. Each controller is different so manual mapping is all but mandatory. The other bigger associated problem is that not all of the control functions are transmitted via PPM to the Interlink, meaning that many of the TX's switches will not function properly or at all. That is why I say it's not worth the effort. The included controller does pretty well, and is not THAT far off from any standard TX... plus you don't eat up battery life, etc.
