More info needed, ie; What field, aircraft, Alitude, Exactly what you were doing, etc. Also, can you re-create this event? or just a one time thing?

if you find it . try to make an RC. and post it. Because if your sceenery detail is at Highest and you hit Somehing(Nothing) then this may be a bug.

An invisible "tree" or other collision object?

You have most of the visual objects turned off, so you may not see what is still modeled in the sim.

But it is not an invisible "collision object".

Many fields have "invisible" collision objects included in them for various reasons.

Sometimes these are used to produce more accurate collisions against visible objects, but the "invisible" objects are completely seperate.

If you turn off the visible objects, you do not turn off the "invisible" ones, which may result in you hitting something unseen.

Yes and no.

You will see what the "invisible" collision object may be representing. But the "invisible" object remains invisible.

You CAN view them in the airport editor.

Invisible objects appear to be all in RED.
