possible bug?

I think that i may have found a possible bug, but not being a real pilot or ever flown a real rc plane i have no idea. I was trying to practice crosswind landings. I noticed that the plane automaticly crabs into the wind while the plane flys stright down the runway. no rudder input was needed. Far as i know, it is not suppose to do that. I AM suppose to put rudder input and MAKE it crap into the wind. All in all, i did my kick out and landed perfectly. I tried this serveral times and same result. So i went into chase mode and you can really see it then. I was using the b-29, but then decided to try it on the p-51, same result. Is this a bug?

nah, I don't think so, if I get what you mean. When you're on final approach with a x-wind, you can go parallel with the runway using your aelerons, but the plane itself will "weathervane" itself into the wind. I remember taking private pilot lessons some years back, and having to look to the side of the windshield to see where we were going. Just before you touchdown, you apply rudder, and align yourself with the runway. I tries what you were describing with the Cap232, and I think I experienced what you are describing, which seemed normal or realistic to me.

I haven't tried it with the B-29, but I use G3 to practice X-wind landings at higher wind speeds all the time.

I've been flying lately in 12-18 MPH winds, but fortunately they have thus far been parallel to the runway ( though last sunday the wind direction switched 180 degrees several times in one hour!!! ).

I've been using G3's X-wind realisim to hone up on crabbed approaches.

So far it's been ok.

Could it be something with that particular model?

Have you tried with another plane?

Yeah, a plane like a weathervane, will want to face directly into the wind, real, model or even in this case, simulated.
