Ok my first model is almost ready

It's been a steep learning curve, and i wish now i had attempted an easier model as an introduction into 3D modeling!!

But i am very pleased with it, there are a few issues i have yet to sort out, and i am waiting for someone to finish the Physics for me, he's got a hell of alot more experience with models, esp this one. so it should be very realistic.

Anyway i hope to have this released by wedneday, going on holiday for 2 weeks on thursday so i want it finished so i can relax

It's been an amazing learning experience, so many things to learn even after you have the model done, i found the uv mapping and transparencies the hardest to get to grips with.

I said in my previous post that i wouldn't have done it without the help of the guys here on the board,awesome help to me.

pawraith, i think it helps so much if you have the airplane you are going to model, i have the ElectricShock and this is where i took the reference photo's from, and you have the details right infront of you.
I was dissapointed that i had to simplify the wings though, as there was too much detail for the 20000 poly limit

Just finished the collision mesh now, and have a green,red and purple ES

Me too. My Electric Shock was a great 3D trainer. My Katana MD is the best small (46 inch span) 3D'r I've found; and my and others' attempts to model it here and share it on the swaps has been far short of the mark.
Not only do PA airplanes LOOK great, but they are engineered really superbly. I'm looking for a flood of friends to lobby with me to get them to model an electrified Turbine Toucan. Anyone here so inclined? Thx.
Free Style World Champion Quique Somenzini has some sort of R/C license to build and market the TT R/C model, but don't know yet if his will be a giant gasser or an electric ... but he's not telling just WHEN he's going to have it ready for the market.
A PA variant would be superb.

P.S the physics are as close as i could get, not great but ok i think. if anyone can do a better job i would be very happy to add theirs to the model and repost with credits to the creator
