This definitely one of the most asked questions here. The user needs to know that the swap pages have 3 types of files for aircraft.

xxxx_EA - means it's the Entire Aircraft, no other files are necessary.
xxxx_CS - means it's a ColorScheme file, you need the corresponding EA file
xxxx_AV - Means it's an Aircraft Variant. This changes the way the aircraft handles. This file will not cause the aircraft to look different (except for size). You also need the EA file for this file.

Some AVs and CSs are based on EA files uploaded to the swaps. Other AVs and CSs are based on stock aircraft from G3/G4, or addons or expansion packs. I wanted to post this to Tony's thread listed above, but it's closed.

Unless of course the "AV" is of larger or smaller scale of the original "EA".
