Sensitive Controls...

I'm running G4 on a Vista machine, it's all good, but even at low rates, everything is very very sensitive. Is there a global setting to turn this down a bit?

Just throwing some ideas out here... Have you calibrated your controller properly?

Have you had a sim before, or flown real R/C planes/Helis? Most will tell you that small inputs are the key... I know when I first started I was over compensating all the time... which makes it feel like your always out of control.

Try one of the top wing Cesna's... they are nice easy flyers for learning.

Like ride said, small inputs. You don't need to move the stick from one side to the other. Most of the time, the sticks will be very close to the center. Download some of the recordings, and hit 2 so that you can see the radio.

I would like to second everything he said. If you're not an experienced pilot, I guarantee you that it's the pilot, not the plane.
Like Ride said, get a trainer (PT-40, NexStar, Electristar, etc.) and try it again.

I've been flying for over 10 years. Thus I don't need a trainer.

At least until you get used to the Simulator response, you should lower the physics speed and increase as you progress.

What have you been flying that's over sensitive?
You can lower it in the aircraft editor, but most of the planes are set up pretty darn well from my experience.

I'll try the physics thing.

Currently in real life: A 65" w/s CAP 232 with a 1.20 on it, a Cermark Banchee (electric) , an Alula (small side arm launch), Predator Bee (epp slope combat), Thorn (solid wood, high wing loading sloper), Lumberjack 60" (slope plank), Laser Arts Scepter (100" w/s gasbag), I'm almost done my 1914 Ingram/Foster bipe. Oh, and the club trainer when I'm teaching someone.

Yeah. I just re-calibrated the controller from windows and it's 100% better.

You can also turn down the amount of travel on the control surfaces and/or up the Expo on the G4 planes.
