non-zero aerodynamics percent.

I am getting this repetitive note with startup and all aircraft today. I did not have this problem yesterday. I do not know what is causing it.

"Fuselage Component Pivot Point has no frame but has non-zero aerodynamics percent.

50% Edge540 BH
exec startup
Executing Script...
Done executing script.
Fuselage Component Pivot Point has no frame but has non-zero aerodynamics percent.

loadaircraft 50% Edge540 BH
Fuselage Component Pivot Point has no frame but has non-zero aerodynamics percent."

The error message indicates the problem.

Changine the aerodynamics percent of the offending item to say 1 will do the trick.

Usually it's caused by a Pod.

Unhappy That is the trouble, cannot find offending input.

If this was the case, I would not have needed to post. These aircraft are from the swaps page. I continue to look through their edit screens and cannot locate this.

I have found one pivot point used to create a counter ballance at the top rudder pivot point. I have run several test without sucess.

Please, download this "50% Edge540 BH" from the swap pages and see if you can find the offending variable.

I have the same problem with mine. With G3.5 they worked perfectly fine, but on G4 you get that message. I have to assume it's some parameter that didn't translate/import over correctly in G4.

They also fly different, probably because of this. Try turning high rates on and doing a 3d waterfall. (tight loop) You can make the 50% Edge do the waterfall in about 10-15 feet of airspace. No way a real 50% would do that. Nor did it on G3.5.

No, it works fine.

The error message is also telling you what must be changed, although it doesn't specify which one remains.

A movable "pod" is usually directly related to an object/control surface etc.

However we've frequently used these as parents to another child object when editing planes.

The latter is what we are typically interested in, in G3, so the aircraft designer doesn't bother with the parent "pod" or movable pivot.

G4 however doesn't like this. It wants each pivot to have some affect, no matter how small upon the flight model, hence the message.

Just locate the component with a missing or zero value for the aerodynamic percent, ( hint: it will have an associated child object ) and set it's value to 1.

That WILL correct the error.

I've done it on several planes w/o problems or adverse effects.
