G3.5 and XP 64bit

I have just built a new computer with XP 64-bit on it, but now I can't seem to upgrade from G3 to G3.5 using the free download.

Does anyone know if G3.5 works with 64-bit, and if so, how?

Yes it works.
Update via the launcher also works without problems.
How ? I don´t know, I did nothing special I even installed G3 on D:\ instead of C:\ just for testing.

Did you register your G3 on the new machine with exactly the same info like on the old one ? (If you had it on the old one...)
