No Video in G4

I have G4 which worked fine for a couple of months. I haven't play it in a couple of months and now when I try it I hear sound but no video. I ran the DirectDraw and Direct3D and both ran fine.

Any suggestions before I reinstall G4?

Thanks
Zek

Well, turn on your monitor first.

All kidding aside... Make sure to use the "reset defaults" feature on the launcher before you actually reinstall.

If you do have to reinstall, be sure to delete all of the files that the uninstaller misses, especially if the "uninstall" only takes like 5 seconds.

Does the active programs menu on the bottom part of the screen (to the left of the quicklanch bar) have "Realflight Generation 4" on it? If it does right click the icon and select maximize. This should get G4 running as usual.

PLEASE NOTE: I need a new computer before I can use RealFlight again. So Area 51 V 2.0 might be finished after 2010 has begun.

What does maximizing the forum have to do with the sim?

The two of them have nothing in common but uploading and downloading planes.

Forget it, I call it the task bar.....

The pics you took of the forum threw me.

I had to take a second look.

I'd recommend deleting the launcher image or at least white out your serial numbers

zek mentions hearing sound, but no video.
When the Realflight Application is minimized, the sound is muted, at least on my machine.

Would be interesting to know if this happens while windowed or full-screen.
