Cool Is the battery life inaccurate??

I am running the trex 450 model for example, and even the gas ones, and I haven't timed it, but the battery lasts a really long time, where I get about 8-10 mins of hover on my actual 450.

Are the batteries suppose to simulate real life and drain at the correct rates? I would like the battery to die off about 8 mins to match my usual flight times.

Thanks for any info.

I'll preface this by saying that I'm not the best person to answer your question, but I've noticed this as well.

If you look at the model's physics you can change things completely such as resistance in the ESC, battery mAh, cell count, etc.

I'm wondering why I get unlimited flights out of a 4400mAh pack in my custom model. I have the unlimited fuel option deselected. Obviously I am missing some detail...

No simulated batteries DO "drain"...

However the battery curves are FAR too optimistic.

Adjust the curves to what you see.

Also note that there is usually a steep initial drop in voltage when a heavy load is applied, but then the battery settles into a slow ramping down, discharge rate.

Thumbs up

Yeah, that pretty much does the trick. I don't really know what my battery curve looks like, but I can pretty much guess that it starts to take a dip sooner in the chart that the battery that is being simulated. Works better now. Thanks for the suggestion!

The way we set up our T-Rex 450SEV2 model, the battery should run out at the 6- or 7-minute mark, obviously depending on how you're flying. Make sure your "Unlimited Fuel" option is turned off.

If it feels right, it's close enough for me.
