What is your favorite plane ?
I would like to get an idea of what planes people like to fly in G4.0-4.5. I seem to spend the majority of my sim time flying the Extra 300L.

I am still a beginner at model flying and purchased RealFlight to practice what I get wrong at the field. The NexStar EP is what I fly most as it is similar to my trainer. I like to fly the Pitts S-2S when just flying for fun. I find it cheaper to learn on the simulator than to buy new planes.

Yak 54 for a recreation plane, Dominion 90 w/o flybar for heli, what I fly depends on whether I am just having fun or prep'ing for a "real" flight. If I am getting ready for a real flight, I fly the plane closest to the actual thing. For months when I started, the only plane I flew was the next star trainer. Boy did I ever bang some landing in that thing. I spend a lot of time with the extras and P51s now getting ready for the coming season. I wish there was a Hangar Nine Pulse w/Evolution 1.00 on it. Before I go to the field, I always bang out some sim landings with the plane du jour from both directions until I grease a few.

I'd have to say that the Python BiPlane from EP4 (I think) is what I usually default to when I need to be having fun with sharpening skills. Otherwise I like to fly my Elegance in differently-ballasted configurations as training for the real thing...

My favorite is the Extra 330 3D. Learned almost everything I can do with that model. I also downloaded the 44% Giles 3D that someone made. It flies nice. I usually jump back and forth between the 330 3D and the Multiplex Acro Master. I find learning with the 330 is easier and then I try and transfer what I've learned to the Acro Master, because that's the 3D plane I currently fly.
I'll pretty much fly anything that is 3D capable, though. And I'll tell you, I really want a giant scale now.

Got to be the Pike Perfect as I am solely a slope glider flyer.
I like the look and the flying characteristics of the Extra 330L, followed closely by the Edge 540 Gas then the Pitts Python. I've tweaked the CoG and throws on both for my style of chuckability. For real big stuff my fave is the B-29, although I would like to have a Lancaster one day! Helis - Well not really my cup 'o tea, but the turbine EC-120 is nice. Terry, (GØVHS) AKA SlopeNutter UK |

During the week I tend to fly the planes in the sim that I plan on hauling out to the field the following weekend...

As far as sim plane, I love the V-22 Osprey - transitioning from forward to vertical flight (without shooting up into the stratosphere!) takes some practice.

Just one?
Highly tweaked Yak 54 3D.
