Century Series Jets in 4.5

I have no idea of how to create a model on the computer.I'd like to put up a wish list of aircraft that you talented designers out there might consider working on.a) All of the century series (In particular, my favourite the mighty F105 Thud), a B58 Hustler, and the Grumann Intruder.

There is a 'Request aircraft thread' in this sub forum. Requests are supposed to be accompanied with 3-views and dimensions of the plane. Many people here request models nobody has even heard of before. Those requests are rarely filled. You've got to pique the modeler's interest, do some of the legwork. It's not right to make him find 3-views of the plane that you want.

Right.

Check out some of the request threads where people have indeed done this, and what they have put up.

Supplying 3-views, paint schemes, etc. goes a long way to moving things along to the point that someone may bite.

Or another option is to learn how to do the models yourself. I won't lie, it is a challenge. I didn't have a clue how to do it when I joined the forum in Jan 2008. But there were planes I wanted and I didn't want to ask others to do it for me so I learned how, from tutorials posted on the forum and from the help provided by the other builders.

Search swaps for planes by "DirtyHarry3033" and you'll see how a little effort can overcome the "have no idea how..." bit In particular search swaps for "Toy Block Plane", this was my very 1st model. It is in the G3.5 section, converted by Flexible. Compare to my later models and you will see what can be done with effort and willpower.

I'm doing it the "expensive way" by using Max 2009. But if I'm not mistaken, you can get free software to build models from start to finish. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

It's just something you might want to consider, if you learn how then you'll never again be missing a plane you want. You can just build it yourself. And it's always good for the community to have another modeler

Not to mention, there is NOTHING like the satisfaction of seeing a virtual model you made yourself take to the air for the 1st time

DH, if you're gonna say 'virtual model,' then you have to say 'virtual air!'

Maybe one better - joining a multi-player session and seeing every single participant flying one of your creations.

Just the other day I was in a session and someone pulled out my Helldiver. There is a satisfaction to doing all this.

Yep, to tie this thread to the other, that's the true feedback/rating.

Where, in multi-player sessions? I'd make a fool of myself, I don't fly worth a d*mn But the other guys would have a blast watching me pretend to fly

Jeff you're 100% right, that would be the best "rating", to see others enjoying your work and efforts.

DH, I'll teach you what I know about flying if you teach me what you know about building. (you'd get the short end of that stick)
