G5 owned by any modelers yet?

Just wondering if any of the common modelers here have G5 yet so other modelers can ask some questions to see if they want to upgrade. I know its a question on my mind.

It's in my cart, waiting for me to accumulate enough other not really needed stuff to get free shipping.

Sounds kind of like my deal. I needed $200 to get $35 off. Well, G5 is $199.98! I ended up adding a $0.10 set of screws. Did the trick nicely.

I'm guessing the first question would be about differences in creating models between G4 and G5. Do they perform differently, etc?

New sounds(engine, servo, pneumatic for retracts?), Streamer length... Still long? Looking for 3-5 inches really. Torque generators (such as more radials). Droppable items diabling springy gear of any kind. These are some of the ones at the top of my list.

Hey wilsonman. Got my G5 couple days ago and i just was searching around and found answers to your questions.

Servo sounds: Sounds play with throttle and retracts now. Sound different.

Engine sounds: only a couple that i can see and they are DA 100 with carbon cover and DA 150

Streamers: No the minimun length is about 6 feet

Springy gear: Unfortunatly gear still become unspringy when something is detatched.

Engines: As i can see there are only 4-6 radials in the engine list.

Hope i answered all your questions.

Whelp... Sounds like nobody will be getting a G5 plane from me. I've been holding out on a few Ideas but I'll just have to go forward if I ever find some time. I've got another Saab aircraft and been kicking around a WWI aircraft. Wanted a scarf on the pilot with a streamer but a 6' scarf is a little out of scale unless its full scale.

I'll stick with what I have.

Same exact thoughts I've had.....no improvements / additions to the sim that I care about at all.
