Combat Technique?

Hi,

I've been trying to do combat in G5 and know these things so far:

1. keep your machine guns on all the time

2. trim your throttle and elevator up all the way.

3. keep your throttle all the way up.

4. don't fly in a straight line.

I'm frustrated because I can target another aircraft and
sometimes keep the machine gun straight and you'd
think I'd hit someone sometimes if just by mistake.

Any ideas?

That's actually one of the things that drives me crazy about combat. That stategy won't work in combat aces, you'll run out of ammo.

If you look at most of the good combat pilots in the sim, they do not keep there guns constantly firing.

Practice, practice, practice.
