I've got a challenge for you Maj. It's called B-58 Hustler needs an awesome CS, but someone will need to UV unwrap this thing and I don't know how to do it myself. LOL.

I would actually love to see you do the stock CS for my B-58, but you would most likely need it to be mapped out already.

I would LOVE to do it.............. but yes it would need to be mapped first to a workable .tga
UV unwraping is way beyond anything I could help you with...really wish i could but
what little you know about it at this stage is still probably 10X more than what I know about it...............let me know if you need a CS later

Templates for the F/A-18 Hornet

Many people want to make new colorschemes for the Hornet so I decided to give you the templates showing the outlines of all objects on this plane.
Most of parts are quite easy to see and understand, other are a little bit strange or simply mirrored so I described them to make this understandable by everybody.

thank you lex, is there any way you could send me something that i could use as a layer
or maybe post a down-loadable jpeg??(I sent you my E-mail add.)
taking a screen shot either gives something that is low res and blurry or enlarging it makes it to big to get in one shot
labeling things the way you did really helped already
although the out line that two eleven provided was useful and appreciated trying to use a screen shot is not very precise when trying something like the diamondback CS I'm trying to do (placing a single diamond on three pieces where two of which are at an odd angle )
this lab;ed one is awesome if i could get something that i could actually use as a temp layer to see things

Layer

Hi Major Numbskully,

The picture in the attachment is a normal .PNG picture. Should be useable in every painting program. If not, open it in Microsoft paint and re-save it as BMP or JPG.
I posted the outlines in the same resolution like the Map (2048x2048). You don't need to rescale it
