There isn't a demo available for Realflight Basic.
But, since it is based on G4.5/G5 why not try the G5 Demo?

If it runs, then you may do fine:

The photofields will run somewhat okay. The 3D fields won't run well at all on your machine. It's probably just below marginal. It'll do in a pinch, but eventually, you will become dissatisfied with it. That machine is just not designed to run 3D apps.

Well, you guys were dead on. Trying the Demo, though a simple solution, was brilliant. It worked just as stated, the Sod grass field did pretty well while the Boneyard did not.

Should I expect the Basic version to perform in the same way?
If so I may go ahead and get it. As Jeff said it will do in a pinch and I have no other option right now.

I'm impressed with this forum. Quick, accurate info.

Thanks for the help!

RF Basic will perform similarly. You will probably need to tweak some graphics settings though.
