Anyone tried mimicking a KFM airfoil in Realflight?
And have you had any success? Here is a link to a pic on RCGroups showing what these airfoils are:
I have tried using the 2% flat plate layered one on top of the other to get the shape of the KFm2 airfoil, but RF seems to use the top plate as the main wing, which results in the model flying downwards due to the negative incidence. |

I guess no one likes the idea?
I know that IRL the KFm1 has better lift and lower stall speeds than a standard or symmetrical airfoil, and was hoping it would be possible to recreate it in RF. I will just keep experimenting with the idea. Last edited by AlternativeRC; 01-21-2011 at 12:07 PM. |

This is the only thing I can remember ever being discussed about a Klien -Folgeman
http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/show...paper+airplane I've never heard of any one trying to "Create" a diff. airfoil by combining two diff. ones

And you know? I did do a search for "KF Airfoil" those exact words, and came up empty handed!
Thanks for that link Maj.! |
