How to Export the file in wings 3d so we can open in Real Flight???

Hi ALL,
I do have another trouble when making my Model in Wings3D.
After making the model, I would like to import that model to Real Flight 5. And RF only accept those type of files below:

*rfx
*g3x
*zip
And the problem is i couldnot export my model in Wings 3d under those *rfx, g3x, or zip. I couldnt find it anywhere in Wings 3D.
I believe there is the way to do it.
Could you please help me out.
Thanks all,
Wan

You are going to need 3DSMax to export your model as a .KEX. Wings doesn't have this capability.

sounds like he may not have even assigned pivots yet
can you post a screen shot?

If he's only using Wings 3D, not only has he not assigned pivots, but he also has not defined hierarchy. I'm also betting he has not mapped the model.

I am very new in that feild ><. I made the model, and did the mapping ( the first mapping) and not sure if it s good or not, the mapping tutorial was not clear for me at all. That s why i want to import to RF to see how is it so that i can do it again.

And what u said about pivot, and hierachy?? I am not quite understand as well.
Could you please explain me more??

I suggest that you look through some of the "STICKYS" in the "Designers Corner" sections of the forum
there is some useful information there
also SEARCH the forum for various 3D modeling related threads and tutorials ....there are MANY..
it seems at first you need to spend as many or more hours reading /researching as you do actually modeling

In a nut shell.............
Pivots are the points that you define for your control surfaces to pivot(hinge) on and for your gear to retract around/ hinge upon etc.

hierarchy is the parts naming convention
..think of it as
"wrist bone connected to the arm bone
the arm bone connected to the elbow bone, the elbow bone connected to..........." etc.
it has to be done in a certain way and in correct order and with the correct terminology

Also if your model exceeds a certain poly limit (8000)
you will also be required to have a collision mesh (yes more work)

like Flexible said you seem to be a long way off before even thinking about getting it in to RF yet

If it were just using wings3D and Carving/Extruding a model................. we'd all be doing it

What exactly does your map look like if you finished it? Before you get any farther, it could be useful to make any possible corrections. Just in case.

One more thing: when you said those are the only file type RF accepts, you are missing one. It also accepts .kex files (KEX) which is the file type that RealFlight needs if you are going to import a new aircraft.

But don't worry about this right now.

Underneath the window you type your post in, you'll see a button that says 'Manange attachments.' Use that to attach your screen shot to your post.

Looks like a basic map to me. How does it make your model look?
