I having trouble installing G5.5, I was on the phone with tech support for an hour today and no luck, I'm running windows 7 64 bit. I can't get the install screen to show. I even dumped my drive and did a clean install of windows with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You've been a member since Feb, does that mean this worked at one time?

You called tech support, and said you had problems, and they said, "We give up?" Somehow I think you're skipping over a detail or two. If tech support can't help you, what chance do we have? I don't think we can give you any advice they hadn't thought of.

At least post your diag dump here, as per this thread. So far you've given no useful information.

Does the disk drive read other disks such as DVDs? When you insert this disk, can you view anything with windows explorer? Has the disk been used before to install on another computer? Can the install disk be read in another computer?

Are you able to install other software? Lots of questions, I am sure tech support went over these with you... just in case they missed something.

It is possible, though unlikely, that the disk has gone bad and needs to be replaced.

In my opinion. I have not been paid for my opinion. I do not represent anyone but myself. I have not been given any free products used to form my opinion.

Try seeing if the disk is readable in another computer, say a friend's PC. If it can't be read then you most likely have a bad disk.
