What's telling you what? Colorschemes are done with .tga files, not dx3 files.

I use DXTBump to send the DDS file to Corel (it somehow converts it so Corel can edit it). There, I edit the file. Once completed, I use DXTBump to bring it back as a DDS file which I place in three folders in the sim. I open the sim and it's fine (second texture).

Now... I want to upload the new color scheme here on this site as well as two screens. When I select the DDS file to upload, the upload system here says I either have to upload a D3X file OR RFX file.

Do I need to somehow convert the DDS file?

thanks

Export the CS from RF. That creates the .rfx needed to upload.

He's not creating any new .tga. He'll never get a file that can be uploaded doing it the way he's doing it.

Your error tells you what's wrong. And it's the same thing I told you in my previous post. You need to be editing .tga files, not .dds files.

OK.... that's good to know. Now where can I find the file that needs to be converted to a tga file? Having said that.... the uploading error message I get says it has to be a rfx or G3X file

Thanks

The process is well documented in the forums. Try a search on creating colorshemes, and let me know if you have any questions. Or page 115 of your manual.

Ok cool, however, instead of telling me I'm not doing it right, can you walk me through the process?

Example... get "this" file... in "this" folder and (convert it or what ever).... etc.

I'm not asking how to repaint, I'm well versed on that part of the procedure (you obviously are not understanding my request) and your smart-ass comments are not helpful.

You're obviously not well versed in helpful communication.... Now go eat your milk and cookies and step down from this thread.
