We've seen it before, when people ask questions but won't accept answers or help. It's odd behavior, but we tolerate it.

You have a good day, too.

But are you willing to return the favor and post the solution to help others that MAY have the same issue in the same way others tried to help you ...apparently not

just like this thread I guess

Personally I think its funny that someone with your credentials and work history has to come here for help ..............why does that always happen ????

Did you stop to think that stating that you are unwilling to help the next guy ...............might stop the member who may have the answer to your problem from helping you ??

I agree it appears to be Z-Buffer related. I also agree that it is specific to my hardware configuration. I've suspected that it could be this and made those adjustment before. I made them again just now it's still a problem.

There is an area just around the aircraft that is shaped a little larger than the aircraft where the textures are ever so slightly distorted. This is not the case when the aircraft is sitting still on the runway or slowly taxing. It is as if the edge detection is having a problem. The faster I fly, the worse it gets until the GPU just splits the aircraft into two shapes. One being 50% lighter than the other.

And the reason a made the comment about not being 100% sure of the issue was so that I wouldn't waste anyone's time to suggest a basic fix. I'm a little more advanced and have tried everything I know. This is not something KnifeEdge has ever seen before either. He was dumbfounded when I informed him what I am dealing with. Who wouldn't be?

The fact that this exact same problem exists in Phoenix tells me it is something related to my hardware. To be honest, I kick myself for going with ATI over nVidia quite often over this card. It is very, very finicky in my current build.

Here are my Specs.

Intel 2500K OC'd to 4.6Ghz.
16 GB 2700 RAM
OS resides on an OCZ SSD
Games reside on Two OCZ SSDs striped
6990
About 8TB of mechanical storage
A 46" Samsung HDTV (connected via HDMI)
A 32" Samsung HDTV ( Second Monitor)

Heh. You wouldn't believe what I did to get my Nvidia/Real Flight problem fixed! It was a problem that affected very few people. (PM me if you'd like to find out. Not too many people know.)

I would share my knowledge if people would respect it. Sure!

The fields are not finished as I don't have much time to setup collision objects on them. I figured most poeple wouldn't want them. They are nice fields though. No seams.

Personally I think its funny that someone with your credentials and work history has to come here for help ..............why does that always happen ????

Because I never claimed to be a hardware engineer and I doubt anyone knows everything, including me. To be told I am ungrateful because I was honest is a little over the top.

I certanily did.

There's your fix if you have the money get the Nvidia card. I have problems with my dual 5800 cards. They fail every now and then. Very unstable.
There ya go the ultimate fix.

I gave up on ATI cards a few years ago
when the last card I had never worker properly no matter what I did
an internet search revealed 100's of the same complaints and issues I was having with no fix as I recall it WAS driver issues everyone was having (not saying thats the case here )
I replaced it with an Nvidia card and never looked back

Ever since AMD bought out ATI they were just never the same

I'm in the process of uploading my photofields. They have no collision objects. Anyone that feels like adding them, feel free to do so and redistribute. They are all based in North Georgia. They are:

Georgia Model Aiviators RC Club (GMARC) - Ball Ground GA

Georgia Mountain - Gainesville GA

Taildraggers - Cartersville GA

I will post screenies of my issue when I am done uploading.

LOL! Two people in this thread have already downloaded two of them. And I'm the gimmie pig eh? The third and best one is uploading. I got better at stitching the photos after doing it for awhile.

Well, the screenshot is not going to happen. When I take one, the screen freezes for an instant and when it does, the issue disappears in the screenshot.

I believe a screen capture has really nothing to do with the video card
so you would not see the problem in the screeny , That the card is showing you on the screen
does that make sense?

Thanks for Sharing

No answer, that's okay. I use Nvidia. But I'm gonna laugh real hard next year when you have the problem again!!! You may wish your answer was here!
