It's going to make those versions of RF compatible for the new MP server.

It will make public multiplayer sessions possible after January 15. It is an installer. Run it and follow the directions (though all you have to do is click "Next" a few times).

To be clear, that installer is only designed for 4.5. G5.5 users need to update to a new version instead.

Thanks, that clears it up for me.

Ryan, please say something about what this is going to do. For example, is it only going to modify the G4.5 install or is it going to do something system or network related?

Regards
Michael

Ah, I see. It will modify RealFlight only. It will not modify your system in any way.

Will the same port forwarding be required for G4.5 users?

Yes. That .exe changes no actual sim functionality. It merely lets MP continue functioning as it always has.

The server changes described above have taken effect. Public MP sessions will not work until you follow the provided instructions.
