Just noticed that there is 16 "guests" in the designers corner, why don't they join so they can see the pictures in all the build threads?

It's a awesome looking model and it also has potential to be a blank canvas for color schemes. I have seen some really good looking color schemes on these planes.

Real quiet around here today...

Shes got front & gear (not finished yet) and landing lights on the wings and front gear. No cockpit yet. Triangles are at 6,500 so I have like 12,000 still in reserve I guess I'll try and add alot more detail stuff.

Just curious if you'd mind doing an example render file sometime. Nothing fancy, or elaborate, just something to look at as far as material settings.

I render in 3ds max using the vray
plugin my settings wouldn't work without it. Do you use vray?

I just use the built in max renderer. Might give vray a try though to see if it's easier to setup though.

I am just amazed at what you do with so few triangles. Maybe you could animate the reverse thrust buckets on the engines since you want to add details or you could do an interior with opening door. Just a couple suggestions.

I think this guy has amazing skills! And what csgill said could also be a suggestion, opening doors. But you'll have to set the pivot really well. ( '.')

I was amazed myself untill a few moments ago! I was looking at the "polygon" count when I should have been looking at the "triangle" count So I am actually at 14,566 it was a stupid mistake and I am sorry if I misled anybody. I will try to animate the reverse buckets not going to promise anything though.

see attached pic of wireframe & tri count

I am not sure what I should do with the front gear. If you look at the pic I am thinking I should make the part that rotates just below the arrow, otherwise the right hand cylinder will rotate with the wheels? I have no usable references for the rear gear so I may have to kinda fake it.

Are you referring to steering control?
