Vectored Thrust Wing

Hi All,
I've been using RealFlight with great success to help with the testing of the open source ArduPilot autopilot (see http://ardupilot.org). One of the aircraft I've been adding support for recently is a vectored thrust wing, modelled on this real model:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koOqenMpvck
That plane was built by Rick Yonika, and I really love the concept.
I've built a model for RealFlight 7.5 here:
http://uav.tridgell.net/RealFlight/V...ThrustWing.RFX
It flies really well, and ArduPilot is able to control it in both hover and forward flight, and do automatic transitions. It is based on the ExtraSpecial model with lots of hackery.
If you look at the model you'll see a problem however - I haven't managed to update the graphics to match the physics. It is still useful for ArduPilot development, but it would be nice to get the graphics roughly right, especially showing the vectored motors. Looking at the forums it seems I would need an old version of 3DS max that isn't available. I'd probably also need some graphics skills, which I am severely lacking :-)
Is anyone interested in helping me get the graphics a bit closer to the model?
Note that the model I've created doesn't have any gyros or even an elevon mixer. That is how we need it for ArduPilot, as the autopilot wants the inputs to be just like in a real model.
Cheers, Tridge

using the new FBX import of RealFlight8 we now have a nice model of this aircraft:

Model files are here:

The videos seem good. It would be neat to get something like this in RF. But the Channel mappings was unusable for the Interlink remote

the channel mappings are easy to fix - they are deliberately setup for this vehicle at the moment for remote control by ArduPilot. To fly it in RF8 without ArduPilot connected would be easy for fixed wing flight with a small change to add two elevon mixes.
For hover flight we'd need to see if the multicopter controller builtin to RealFlight is good enough for a tailsitter. I suspect it would work.
My focus is on creating vehicles for ArduPilot development though, so I probably won't put in the effort to enable the builtin RealFlight controllers
